Temple Sholom Benevolent Funds

A donation to one of Temple Sholom’s Benevolent Funds is a meaningful way to celebrate the special occasion of a loved one such as a birthday, anniversary, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or to honor their memory. An acknowledgement card will be sent for donations of $10.00 or more. Another option is to purchase 6 blank cards for $50.00 and mail them yourself.

RELIGIOUS SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT FUND
(maintains & improves programming & equipment for our Religious School)

YOUTH GROUP ENRICHMENT FUND
(sends YGOTS members to youth group sponsored camps and retreats)

ELAINE E. GREENSTEIN MEMORIAL FUND
(brings special Jewish musical events to Temple Sholom)

MARCIA R. KAPLAN MEMORIAL FUND
(for interior beautification of Temple Sholom)

BUILDING FUND
(maintains and improves the building and grounds)

SIMCHA LEAVES
(commemorates life cycle events and displayed in the lobby - $72.00)

DENA SOLOMON CAMP SCHOLARSHIP FUND
(provides camp scholarships for children of Temple members)

NATHAN GILBERT HORIZON FUND
(sponsors special cultural events)

AL KIRSCHNER MUSIC FUND
(develops the music library)

MARK FAMILY FUND
(supports activities, programs and initiatives intended to promote the involvement of young Jewish adults in Judaism through Temple Sholom)

RICHARD L. MANHEIMER MEMORIAL FUND
(provides for ritual objects and Judaic art for the Temple)

MYRON S. RUDD LIBRARY FUND
(provides technology and furnishings for the Temple library)

RAE AND ROBERT LEVIN LECTURESHIP FUND
(sponsors lectures for adult education programs)

WARSHAUER FUND FOR ACCESS TO JUDAISM
(encourages the full participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of Temple life)

ROBERT WHITE FAMILY EDUCATIONAL FUND
(provides for scholars-in-resident and opportunities for Torah study)

MAXWELL-FRIEDEN FUND
(provides funds for Temple emergencies as approved by the
Executive Committee)

ARNOLD L. BECK MEMORIAL FUND
(beautifies the Temple)

GENERAL FUND
(provides funding for the daily activities of Temple Sholom)

NA-ASEH V'NISHMAH ISRAEL FUND
(provides for study or volunteer service in Israel)

MAYME TONER LIBRARY FUND
(purchases books and publications for the Temple library)

RABBI'S DISCRETIONARY FUND
(disbursed by the Rabbi, at his discretion, to meet many charitable and educational needs in the congregation and the community)

SISTERHOOD FUNDS:
ONEG SHABBAT-provides for all aspects included in an Oneg Shabbat
BIMAH FLOWERS-purchases fresh bimah flowers for the High Holy Days
JEAN ANN GRUBBS-provides leadership development for Sisterhood women
